An IRC-friendly racer, J 122 offers a completely furnished interior, a simple to manage balanced sail plan, head turning performance, a refined deck layout, low VCG keel with a moderate 7.2' draft.
Equipement
The J 122 features Harken self-tailing winches and sail-handling hardware, a Hall Spars autoclaved, Awlgrip-finished, double-spreader aluminum mast “Grand Prix” with discontinuous rod rigging, a Vectran and Spectra running rigging package, an underdeck mainsheet system, and a setback headstay with recessed jib-furling drum. The J 122’s hydraulic backstay cylinder with convenient control panel mounted at the wheel pedestal makes adjusting mast bend and mainsail shape easy and fast without leaving the helm. The ergonomically-optimized cockpit, with a 59-inch leather-covered wheel, integrally-molded footrests, and excellent visibility for the helmsman, is roomy and efficient for racing.
